Moustache Monday!

The past is a powerful and dangerous place at the best of times. It takes men's thoughts and sets them to ponder. Even the man who carries a magnificent beast under his nose, as seen here on the left, must be wise when considering its application. Charms are few and far between when considering what has happened. Only when steely determination, leather bound fist and cravat are firmly in place and perfected can the man of moustache consider Dame Fortuna and her hand maidens. Go forward. Never look back but always acknowledge the past.

So..that's how you say AAAGH! in Greek.

An exact translation of AGGGHHH! is in Greek Αγγκκχχχ!
Mostly in Greek war comics we meet AAAAAA!

(The others guys had a lot of fun trying to answer the question in comicstrades.
Well, mostly everyone was saying whatever came to his mind! )

Thank you to the good people at Comics Trades for providing an answer.

Moustache Monday!

How can a chap compete when he is confronted with this absolute picture of manliness? First a secret. The man of tash is not competing - he is being.  At the risk of evocing a noticible quantity of provocative Zen a moustache is not a sign that one fellow is better than another fellow. Indeed men who know do not use moustache growth in the pursuit of malefaction against those who cannot or choose to do not.  But those who do understand - know!

Moustache Monday!

The man with the moustache will always find himself at the centre of all the action. Others may only dream of finding themselves in this position. Good grooming and high standards will put you there.

Language is never a barrier. Even the most fashion conscious Nazi in his best pair of shorts is no match for the steely gaze of the well groomed determined man with his sights set on stopping the enemy by injecting his presence where it is needed most.

This is not a question of pride or vanity or even introspection - how can one expect to do ones best if one isn't the best that one can be?

Moustache Monday!

What do you say to that? Men are well adapted to understanding. Clear understanding is provided by those who are able to sum up another man and give him what he wants.

Being clean cut may indeed make you popular with a certain kind of lady - but the man with who has taken the time to invest in himself will reap the rewards of his own efforts many times over.

When a man with a moustache poses a question he already knows the answer.

Cover of the Week Air Ace Picture Library 284 Traitor Unmasked

Fanciful and fraudulent come to mind when contemplating the cover of Air Ace Picture Library 284 Traitor Unmasked. However I am letting my limited knowledge of aerial combat and the capabilities of WW2 aircraft colour my judgement.

The action is no doubt top notch. It would have to be for a Lysander sporting landing gear mounted guns and rockets to bring down an enemy fighter aircraft. Don't get me wrong I like the colours, particularly the use of reds and yellows. It's also nice to see that the allied plane has seen better days.

The funky title font is also somewhat endearing. There's also that lovely (if not slightly risqué) sub-head that's been spared the ignominy of appearing as a flash cut-out.

Whilst I have no complaints about the composition - indeed if I were a young lad back in 1966 the cover is exciting enough that I would have handed my hard earned 1'- in a thrice. It is the very idea behind this cover that drags it down in the rankings. Lysander lovers the world over will no doubt disagree me. 6/10.

Moustache Monday!

Trust a moustache! If the situation looks desperate to a man with a moustache then the situation is truly dire.
A moustache gives a man more than good looks. If the grooming is correct it can also confer a sixth sense for danger that fills others with wonder and awe.
When the instruction is to bale out while I (the moustache) hold her steady - you had better damn well bale out. As staying behind will only make you come close to the moustache - and you don't want that.
