Accuracy not required.

In the good old days pilots were required to only fly. Other impractical skills, such as counting, were considered almost frivolous. Yet here we see an example of a fellow rising above himself and giving it a red hot go. Well done that man!

When success feels bad.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. However, there are times when you win but what you've really done is lost. Winning isn't everything but it is far more preferable to the alternative.

The alternative, in this case, is not losing but desolation. As if desolation isn't bad enough how can there be utter desolation? Desolation can't really be total, there must be some hope as utter desolation can only be worse.

Risk - the game of life.

It's fun to play dress ups and play risk. I've got the rules...and the map...where are the dice? Hang on where are the pieces? How can we play without any pieces?

And why do you have a bigger pencil than me? How did this turn out so badly so quickly?

Oh well I suppose we need to find a pub...

The wrong or right choice.

He has this wrong hasn't he? Shouldn't it be, "you wanted a fight..you've picked the wrong bloke!"?

So what else are we saying, that as time travellers, would catch ourselves out in only 50 years or so? A mere slip of a turn of phrase and you could find yourself in a whole world of bother. With so much that can go wrong why tempt the fates?

Fat

When the fat man finds you abhorrent you know that either you or he is in the wrong. The chances that it is your are near enough to remote they are laughable. But no one is laughing, not even the fat man. So where does that leave everybody?

Sort of like Schrodinger's cat...

Tricky people Germans. Have they or haven't they? It's the sort of thing most people like to do during wartime; use demolition charges to blow things up. Almost everyone does it. But you just don't know with the Germans. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. It's not a question of being flippant or careless it's a question of making things difficult for the enemy. And that's what war is all about in some ways. If there are demolition charges in place that would force the enemy into one course of action - if there are no demolition charges that would force the enemy into another course of action. The charges are both there and not there until you get to the bridge. Sort of like Schrodinger's cat but with steel and explosives instead of felines and cardboard.

By the way Schrodinger was an Austrian scientist who didn't like Nazis.

Hurry...Hurry...

Time for admiration. 

This is really a great drawing. Just look at the placement of the arms and the way his trunk is leaning and slightly twisted in the effort to climb into this precarious position. Whoever drew this really was an excellent student of anatomy. 

Pirate Nazis

What a bunch of lowlifes. Could there be anything worse than Nazi pirates tooling around in high powered tanks? Surely they have some inkling that they will be the target of every round, every bullet, every shell, every bomb, every missile, every rocket, every grenade, every dagger, every every anything that their enemies could aim, hurl, launch, fire, shoot, lob, target, arrange, unleash, unfurl, throw at them?

Possibly they like that kind of thing. Possibly it's an issue around the lack of boundaries they were set when they were younger. Perhaps it's a needy centre of attention thing that only true bad guys really know about.

Big chin big hand

Done it! Ahh...the long moment with slashing. So much can go right in a situation like this but as we can see experience and a steely grip will see you through. 

A lesser man might collapse at this point but our friend here is determined to see this through to the very end and beyond. Oh the exhilaration.

Bent thing

Guns don't kill people but sometimes bent things are responsible. Possibly men with bent things might be the main culprits. Mr Prendergast however recalls the correct application of his new found bent thing and applies it to all and sundry. A bit of a spree actually. Strange though...he looks like a quiet chap.
