Sometimes there's not much more you can do after a catastrophe. There may be other protocols following a disaster, debacle, calamity, disappointment, or defeat. But clearly after a catastrophe one must pull wildly at the stick and fling open the throttle. If one is stickless and even possibly throttleless that could present a real problem.
