When things go wrong...

...it's usually the 'little people' who are to blame. Great people don't make mistakes, that's why they are great. If the underlings were any good they wouldn't be underlings. They would be leaders not followers. In other words they would be in front or on top and not behind or underneath.
So when things go wrong the attribution of blame cannot be put down to circumstance alone. The difference between the great and not even great is that the great do not like those beneath them.
